Pike River Studio is our home and workplace. Nine acres of rolling Oak and Maple forest on the shore of a small marshy lake in the town of Dunbar. My wife, Pam and I feel blessed to share this place with over 70 species of birds, mammals and amphibians which we have seen on our property, in the air overhead and on the lake.
We live in the northeast corner of Wisconsin, in Marinette County, where over 230,000 acres of public land are owned by the county and the state, giving true meaning to those catchy lyrics, "This land is my land. This land is your land". There are 920 miles of rivers and streams in the county, with some of the finest trout fishing anywhere in the state. These easily accessible public lands, which surround our home, abound with beautiful lakes and ponds.
